Lamborghini Countach LP400 S

The Lamborghini Countach is one of those rare designs that transcends its category. It feels less like a car and more like a study in lines, surfaces and visual tension. Looking at it today, it often feels closer to Mies van der Rohe than traditional automotive styling. Every angle appears deliberate. Every volume serves the silhouette. If the Countach were a typeface, it would be Neue Haas Grotesk Bold. Precise, assertive and stripped of anything unnecessary.

BlueBrixx’s Highway Rennwagen captures that character remarkably well. The build is moderately challenging and repeatedly surprises with clever construction techniques. I reinforced the roof structure with inverted Cobi tiles to improve long-term stability without affecting the appearance. This model began as BlueBrixx’s interpretation of the modified Countach from The Cannonball Run. For my display version, I brought it closer to the road-going car: the front wing was removed, the exhaust system revised, several visual distractions cleaned up and the rear wing replaced with a custom-built solution more in line with the original design language.

What remains is the essence of the Countach. A silhouette reduced to wedges, rectangles and pure intent.
