Liberty Walk
Ferrari F40 & Lamborghini Countach

There’s something deeply fascinating about Japanese automotive culture and its relationship with graphic identity. Not just performance. Not nostalgia. But silhouette, stance, typography and restraint. The PowerBuild Metamorph Series Ferrari F40 and Lamborghini Countach capture exactly that tension, somewhere between iconography and object design. Both models were reinterpreted through custom Liberty Walk liveries, designed and produced in UV-DTF to emphasise the visual language that defines so much of modern JDM culture: oversized branding, monochrome contrast, aggressive proportions and almost architectural surface graphics.

The build itself is relatively simple. No overwhelming part count, no obsessive engineering showcase. Instead, the focus shifts toward something far more interesting: presence. Placed inside a calm interior, the cars begin to feel less like toys and more like curated industrial objects, almost comparable to product studies, graphic sculptures or small-scale rolling posters. PowerBuild understood this surprisingly well. The packaging feels considered and graphically refined, the manuals are aesthetically restrained and even the included display containers reinforce the experience rather than distracting from it.

It’s less about “building a model car” and more about creating a quiet visual moment somewhere between Japanese street culture, graphic design and interior atmosphere.
