The Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR was never designed to be subtle. It was born out of the late 90s GT1 era, a time when manufacturers built road cars purely to homologate race cars. Machines shaped less by comfort or practicality, and more by aerodynamics, endurance and obsession. That spirit is captured surprisingly well here. This was my first encounter with Nifeliz, and the moment I saw the CLK GTR, resistance became almost impossible. The proportions, the impossibly long rear section, the cold metallic surfaces — it carries the same brutal elegance that made the original car so iconic.
What impressed me most is how intentional the entire design feels. The lines remain clean and uninterrupted, the engineering is stable and thoughtful throughout, and the metallic silver parts give the model a sense of weight and presence that photographs barely capture. I also created custom decals and tyre lettering for the build. Small details, but details are what made the original CLK GTR legendary in the first place. Nifeliz clearly understands the audience here. The instructions feel premium, the graphics are beautifully art directed, and the overall building experience is calm and rewarding. Less toy, more object.
By the end, this no longer felt like a brick-built model on a shelf. It felt like automotive iconography translated into form. And yes — I already ordered more @nifelizset sets afterwards.
