Some creations prove that great design has very little to do with part count. With only 127 standard LEGO elements, AP Bricks captures the proportions and elegance of a modern yacht with remarkable precision. Every curve, every transition and every deck feels intentional. It’s a reminder that creativity isn’t about inventing new pieces, but about discovering new possibilities within familiar ones.

The build itself is calm, satisfying and surprisingly engaging despite its modest size. My favourite detail is the clever use of loose 1×2×1 panels to form the staircases connecting the decks. Held in place purely by geometry rather than fixed in the traditional way, they create an astonishing level of refinement from an incredibly simple solution. It’s a beautiful reminder that thoughtful design often comes from seeing familiar elements differently.

This project also made me an instant admirer of AP Bricks’ work. By the time I had finished the Micro Yacht, I had already built another of his MOCs, and I’ve since ordered the parts for a third through BrickLink. I rarely find myself following a single designer this closely, but his ability to create such elegant forms from nothing more than standardized LEGO elements is genuinely inspiring. There is definitely more to come.
